[EnergyPlus_Support] ECOTECT export to EPLUS
Dear All,
I´m writing to know if anyone can help me with some issues about the
ECOTECT export to EPLUS. I´m having problems with shading device
export. It seems that ECOTECT doesn´t have its own element type.
While this creates no problem in Ecotect, it will create a problem
when we export the model to EnergyPlus. Shading device is expected to
have its own element type, and if it is attached to a wall, the
dimension and location use the wall as reference point.
Its painful to have to change the location of every shading device in
a building, especially if we have many windows with shading device
attached to it. Any thoughts about this, especially to make the export
process less painful.
Is there any way to garantee the correct export procedure?
Thank´s
Regards
Nuno Brandão
