RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] File update

If you can run as an administrator, or give your account full access to the directories that you are using when running EnergyPlus, most of these VISTA OS problems may disappear.Yuan-Lu Li

What OS are you running on? I know there is a limitation on Vista for writing files in some folders -- but it would seem to apply to "adding" them as well.It sounds like a permissions problem in the folder you are using. The files actually get created in the EnergyPlus "run" folder -- and with 2.1 there are two methods of running from EP-Launch, creating a specific batch file or running with arguments on a batch file.1) you could go to the command prompt and look at the RunEP.bat file.2) you could comment or remove the lines that try to save the filesor,3) you could turn on pause from EP-launch and try to see where it is failing.LindaEnergyPlus WebSite: http://www.energyplus.govOwner: EnergyPlus_Support listMember: EnergyPlus Development Team[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
