[EnergyPlus_Support] Low emissivity glass approximation
Merry Christmas to you all!,
While eating my christmas cake I am looking at a sunspace with low
temperature floor heating. The glass of course is a big issue in our
cool climate for mid winter comfort.
I have approximated the Pilkington low e glass by changing the IR
Hemispherical:backside Surface, layer #4 to 0.15 as Pilkington say only
15% of the low IR is absorbed.
Is this a fair approximation?
If it is should I see some improvement in the MRT for the Zone? I
appreciate this is an average so doesnt reflect sitting next to the
window.
Thank you for your thoughts.
