[EnergyPlus_Support] Energy Plus IDF Editor

I am starting to work with Energy Plus (sometimes I use Design Builder as Graphic Interface), I would like to know the following:

    - What are the main things that I should pay attention when I am constructing the Building Model(on Design Builder), to prevent that the simulation doesn´t take several hours?

    - What should be the better sequence for studying the Manuals of EnergyPlus?

    - What Document (EPlus Manual or file) should I study to learn how to work well with the IDF Editor?

    - What Document (EPlus Manual or file) should I study to learn how to identify and correct errors, that can appear in the Design Builder Exported IDF Files?

Best Regards

A L
