It all depends on your building and what you are interested in
studying. If you're really doing passive analyses, then you want
more accuracy in building shadowing but if you're mainly studying
effects of HVAC systems, then shadowing is less important.
You could do a comparison using the "minimal shadowing" option
against the only allowing 200 figures in the shadow overlaps. (say,
for design days) and see how much difference it makes.
