[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: boiler documentation

Dear Dimos,

Search for the object name, e.g., Boiler:simple, to get basic
information on each field.

For most older boilers, the "Opt Part Load Ratio" is 1.0, since the
boiler is most efficient at 100% capacity. For newer boilers,
especially condensing boilers, this is not always the case.

I've been creating "fuel use / part load ratio" curve coefficients
from boiler catalog data and curve fitting techniques so as to better
model new boilers. Normally I am performing a LEED energy analysis,
so I know which boiler has been specified.

For generic data on boiler performance, ASHRAE Standard 155P promises
to have useful information, but it's still in draft form and not yet
available for public comment, let alone published.
