Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] surface exterior wind speed

The AirflowNetwork model calculates reference wind speed based on weather
wind speed. The equation used in calculations is the second equation in the
Engineering Reference on page 385. The boundary layer height is 60 m. The
field value of Reference height for recorded wind data in the AirflowNetwork
Simulation object is used as "Meteorological station height. If the input of
Wind Pressure Coefficient Type in the AirflowNetwork Simulation object is
"INPUT", the field value of Reference Height for WPC Data in the
AIRFLOWNETWORK:MULTIZONE:WIND PRESSURE COEFFICIENT ARRAY object is used as
the reference height. If the input of Wind Pressure Coefficient Type in the
AirflowNetwork Simulation object is "SURFACE-AVERAGE CALCULATION", the
reference height is 10 m. Then wind pressure is calculated using the first
equation in the section of "Wind pressure calculations" in the Engineering
Reference on page 385. The wind pressure on each surface is applied in
airflow calculations. Please see the last equation on page 380 in the
Engineering Reference.
