Er, No.  the difference betweeen Shading:Detached:Building and Shading:Detached:Fixed is that one will follow the building north axis and one doesn't. 

You could try "Diagnostics, DoNotMirrorDetachedShadings; if your detached surfaces for teh other building are sufficiently far from the building you want shaded.  More simply, you could use large, simple shading surfaces to represent the other building.
