Thank you very much Linda and Judith,

Could you please give me some clarifications: 

Why do the detached buildings have to be sufficiently far from the 
building that I want shaded to use the "Diagnostics, 
DoNotMirrorDetachedShadings'?

Also, what does it mean by 'mirrored'; '...the detached surfaces are 
automatically mirrored?' (This is in the I/O reference explanation of 
DoNotMirrorDetachedShadings). 
Could you please explain me what does it do and how does this affect 
the outcome?
