[EnergyPlus_Support] Doors and Windows not Sub Surfaces

Is there a way to move all of the door and window objects into 
subsurfaces? My idf (generated in ECOTECT) has all of them as 
HeatTransfer surfaces with walls and ceilings. When I try to copy an 
object, however, it does not work. Thanks.
