Engineers and/or other qualified individuals with experience in at least some
of the following fields: ·
mechanical system design and analysis, incl.
load calculation ·
simulation and modeling of buildings and HVAC
systems ·
energy modeling (ASHRAE 90.1 Appendix G) ·
Computational Fluid Dynamics ·
energy and performance monitoring Job Description Ebert & Baumann Consulting Engineers, Inc. is seeking
qualified engineers with a minimum of 4 years of experience in design and
analysis of mechanical systems including heating, cooling, heat rejection, air
distribution, ventilation, building automation and controls. Applicants
should have a strong understanding of modeling and analysis techniques related
to building systems and controls. Experience with <VE>, TRNSYS,
AirPak, as well as a PE license and experience in low energy building
engineering is a plus. The work will include executing building
simulations, providing strategic design advice, and assisting in design
documentation and specification on a wide variety of low energy buildings,
worldwide. Responsibilities 1.
Load calculations and energy modeling according to
ASHRAE Standards. 2.
Computer modeling of the mechanical systems to
understand the energy and thermal comfort performance under various conditions
and design configurations. 3.
CFD simulation for building spaces. 4.
Design advice on selection of equipment and controls
for use in building systems. 5.
Summarizing results in technical reports and
