Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] defining flow rate with a schedule

That's an interesting question. What your saying is that you know what
the air flow rate is for the HVAC systems in your building, and this
was probably measured for the loads posed on the HVAC system for that
building and for that weather. Now you want to enter those flow rates
into the simulation.

What that really means is you know what the loads are on your building
and those loads correspond to some defined performance of the HVAC
system.

But what if the simulated loads don't correspond to the measured data?
And does your simulated building really represent the actual construction?

It would be better if you tweaked the building construction and HVAC
equipment specs to match the measured data. Then you have a calibrated
model.

Tweak the building model to give you the closest air flow rates to the
measured data. And be sure your HVAC system is controlled the same as
the real building. Also be sure to check other critical info, supply
air temps would be a first check. Zone humidity levels are another
critical concern.

I know of no way to enter the air flow rate using a schedule.
