RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Secondary Air Inlet on EvaporativeCooler:Indirect:ResearchSpecial Object

The secondary air has to come from relief air leaving an OA mixer.  If you have 100% recirculation then there is no difference between the flow or conditions at relief node and the inlet to supply side.

Check out the example file delivered with EnergyPlus named “ReliefIndEvapCoolerRTUoffice.idf”

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Secondary Air Inlet on EvaporativeCooler:Indirect:ResearchSpecial Object

Hi E+,

I'm trying to model a central A/C system that cools air taken from the building with an
Adiabatic Spray and then cools incoming fresh air intake via a heat exchanger. I've identified
that I need to use the EvaporativeCooler:Indirect:ResearchSpecial object and have gone about
modelling the system.

My issue is that I'm not sure how to connect the secondary air intake in the model to the
system. I want the secondary air inlet node of the EvapCooler to be at the beginning of the
supply side, to take the air leaving all the building zones via a ZoneMixer object.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Stefan
