I'm modelling a multiple zone mixed-mode building that uses baseboard heaters for
heating. The heaters are set to be available throughout the year to ensure temperatures
don't drop below 15˚C between April and October and 20˚C for the rest of the year. The
simulation runs, but with multiple warnings of :
** Warning ** ControlCompOutput: Maximum iterations exceeded for BASEBOARD HEATER
Looking at the results the winter design day seems to behave as expected, but for the
summer design day the baseboard heaters have a negative heating energy associated with
them.
Each zone has in its ZoneHVAC:Equipment List a Baseboard:Convective:Water (with
heating priority 1 and cooling priority 2) and an AirTerminal:SingleDuct:Uncontrolled (with
heating priority 2 and cooling priority 1).
Firstly why do I have to assign a heating priority to a cooling object and vice versa?
Secondly can anyone shed light onto why this negative heating energy on the Baseboard
heaters might be happening?
Your help is appreciated...
Stefan
