Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Re: how to do weather file simulation

The input for Do the design day simulation determines if the DesignDay
objects are simulated.
The input for Do the weather file simulation determines if the RunPeriod
objects are simulation.

The other 3 inputs for Do the ??? sizing calculations... are used to
autosize equipment for zone, system, or plant. Zone is used for zone
equipment (window AC, baseboards), System is used primarily for air
loops, and plant is used to size chilled, hot water, and condenser loops.

If an input in an object (e.g. Pump) has "autosize", this means that the
simulation will automatically size this equipment based on the sizing
object inputs (Zone Sizing and System Sizing objects).
If an input in an object has a value (e.g., 0.5), this means the
simulation will use this value during the simulation and sizing will not
be performed on this object.

If you want to autosize equipment, find an example file which specifies
"autosize" as an objects input and see which other objects are used to
size the equipment.
Also read the documentation for the Zone Sizing and System Sizing objects.
