[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Modifying a weather file to reflect "real" weather



Just to supplement this discussion, in the United States, one can consider using the real-time meteorological data from the U.S. Climate Reference Network:

http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/oa/climate/uscrn/index.html

Specifically to the OP's data needs, there are two stations in Michigan:

1) Michigan State University, Chatham; and,
2) National Weather Service, Gaylord.

I've used their data for Northeast US sites for a number of years now.  With regard to insolation, they only model global horizontal insolation, however.  You have to do some work to derive components you might need.
