Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Modifying a weather file to reflect "real" weather
I am curious to know what direct/diffuse separation method is used by
this "converter", since many such methods have been proposed in the
literature, and all are empirical and therefore climate specific.
Typical monthly bias errors we can expect from the said methods are
typically in the 10-20% range, with a lot of noise at the hourly level
(50% rms). This is not a problem for a windowless building, but becomes
a concern when the window area becomes significant, or intentional solar
collection is used.
