Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] heating and cooling load

Hi, Richard,

Thanks for your reply. I uploaded the input file again at URL: http://f1.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/4Aq7SnR5Z0M2nuhWCS7p0mfuMtcYKHHntazQLS5kKeVYF4_YIJGDUNrC15nWWQlSdhnXhM9rp971ZzlQ_eF63Sp_FYc-KPk/_Problem_Submittals/heating%20and%20cooling%20loads.zip

In this folder, there is a excel file, from which you can see in Zone/Sys Sensible Heating Rate [W], Zone/Sys Sensible Load Predicted [W], Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner Sensible Zone Heating Rate[W] are different in Row 809, 810.  At this time, the fan should be on, that is why the Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner Sensible Zone Heating Rate is not 0, but I am confused with the Zone/Sys Sensible Heating Rate [W]. Could you explain the relation of this variable with Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner Sensible Zone Heating Rate[W]? Only PTAC is used, should they be equal?

Thank you.

If the PTAC fan is moving air, the Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner
Sensible Zone Heating Rate should not be 0. Check the fan operating mode
(constant fan or auto fan) and also check to see what the zone
temperature is with respect to the zone temperature set point.
