Use multiple .RVI files. You can run the program that extracts the data multiple times. On a recent project I created 17 separate RVI files -- envelope, solar, daylighting, HVAC zone, HVAC system, HVAC plant... each one with different variables. An RVI is fairly simple (there are examples in the examplefiles directory):

eplusout.eso
eplusout.csv
Outdoor Dry Bulb
ZONE ONE,Zone Mean Air Temperature
ZONE ONE,Electricity:Building
DayType Index
Daylight Saving Time Indicator
0

The first two liens are the default names for the E+ output (ESO) and the CSV you want to put the variables into. All the other lines are the names of output variables. The '0' is required as the last line.

In my simulations, all variables always apear on the same excel file in the output, but tutorials do the same thing anda the variables apear on diferent excel files. Does anyone know how to get multiple excel files for the variables in the output? Thanks in advance.
