[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: ECOTECT & EnergyPlus



Hi EnergyPlus users!

   I´m working too in Ecotect to drawing a building before the thermal simulation in E+.
   Like Amanda Webb says, Ecotect v5.6 just creat a IDF file to E+ for v2.2. Well if you use the Transition Programs, that you can find and download the folder in helpdesk.com, then you can export these IDF file in v2.2 to anywhere lastest version.
   The Ecotect it´s really simply to use, keeps the names of wich zones, materials and construction materials in the IDF file. Earlier to input the systems HAVC with a lot numbers of zones, can be more easy identificate wich zones will be served by the air condicionated units.
   Comparing with DesignBuilder and Google Skecthup, it´s more easily work and drawning a building, but it´s just my opinion.
