Excel reads .csv files. So does Word or almost any text editor.

Thank you Linda. I am making a head way in trying to fix the errors and the button is anabled now. However, it is asking for a program that can display a CSV file to be able to view spreadsheet.

Did you look at the .err file -- perhaps the simulation did not complete far enough to produce outputs.
If you can't figure something out -- send the input file to the helpdesk: energyplus-support@ gard.com

Thank you! I have spent so much time to go through the tutorials. I have also run some of the sample files and the spredsheet button was enabled.
I picked an example file to edit with my input but just after the spreadsheet button ceased to be enabled. I have an object under output variable. But the pull down menu under variable name is not active.
What could be wrong then? please, please am getting behind my work schedule

Look at the .err file. See what errors were in your simulation.
Have you included "output:variables" in your input file? If you have none, you will have no spreadsheet output.
Have you run some of the tutorials prior to this? And did they work okay?
Run one of the example files -- they all have outputs to the spreadsheets.

I am generating a spreadsheet in E+ Luanch, but the spreadsheet button under is not enabled. Have tried it by going to View/Options, select and autofind but is still not enabled.
