Will you try running the attached IDF file. It is in version 3.1.
It would take too long to run on my PC.
Using DesignDay simulation, it appears that the shades are present but not covering the window. It has 7 warnings.

Dear Dr. Li,
Window transmitted solar energy generated from the Energy Plus output changes with the change in the external shading device geometry resonably. Is that enough to tell me that Energy Plus is responding to the presence of my external shading device?
Do I need to unoverlap all the surfaces in the shading device so I will not get the warning as it's considered error? |
