RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] input for HAMT modeling outputs

Look at the EIO file.  It reports important information on how the cells were automatically setup.

thanks for your reply. In modeling wufi a grid is needed. but in Energyplus the input is only the thickness of layer. Then how can we specify the number of cell? If i specify for the output of RH, temperature or water content from 1 to let say 10 cells,  does the program divide the construction (e.g a wall) into 10 cells?

best wishes

The way WUFI calculates is to divide each material in a wall assembly into a number of sub layers (cells) and at each time step it calculates a heat and moisture balance of all the cells in the wall assembly.  Apparently, EnergyPlus allows you to output the individual cell data which would allow you to look at a temperature/ moisture profile of the wall. You need RH and moisture content because 100% RH does not always mean the material is fully saturated.  You may need to check the reference to find it, but there should be surface heat and moisture fluxes as well.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_ Support] input for HAMT modeling outputs

Hi,

i looked at the example file for HAMT modeling. what is the meaning of outputs;

"HAMT-Profile Construction 1 cell 1 Temp"

"HAMT-Profile Construction 1 cell 1 water"

"HAMT-Profile Construction 1 cell 1 RH"

the another question; Is it possible to get the heat flux output data of a surface

with my best regards

ozgur
