This may have been discussed before, but I don't know. What
is the reason why older versions of E+ can't be made available by the
development team? Couldn't they be posted with a big disclaimer that they
come with no support? It seems reasonable that people will need older versions of a
tool like E+ occasionally to replicate old work or verify someone else's work.
Or bring somebody new onto an ongoing project that was begun with an older
version of E+. Or restore a software installation after a computer crash.
Or study how the changes between versions might have impacted certain research
through the years (and hence might need to be reexamined). Or…you
