Like you I'm also a beginner in E+  and, besides all the documentation that comes with E+ I also found some slides about E+ at the "Laboratory of Energy Efficiency in Buildings is linked to the Center for Research in Construction (Civil Engineering Department) of Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina" website available for free by this link:

I think they can be useful for your questions, specialy on the Branches, splitters, mixers.

Hi there,
I am quite new to the E+ IDF Editor (I usually use desigBuilder to generate my files) and I need your help.

I have been asked to model a naturally ventilated building with underfloor heating. In my case it is a simple room 6*6*3, one window for natural ventilation and underfloor Heating system.

When Design Builder compiles the IDF, it includes a bunch of information that are not so clear to me.
CoolingTower:SingleSpeed,Chiller:Electric:EIR,BranchList,ConnectorList,Splitter,Mixer .. and so on..

I would like than to compare the settings in a simple IDF file, edited with the IDF Editor, to my file generated with Design Builder.

Is there an example file in the documentation that you would reccommend to me?
