[EnergyPlus_Support] DesignBuilder with EnergyPlus v5 and other news



Latest DesignBuilder news:

1. DesignBuilder v2.3.1 beta has been released, which includes the new EnergyPlus v5. You can download it from:

2. Also the stabilised DesignBuilder v2.2.5.004 using the previous EnergyPlus v4 is available from:

www.designbuilder.com/downloads 

3. The second in the series of free DesignBuilder webinars will take place on 8 June at 1:00 to 2:00 PM GMT. It will provide an introduction to using the DesignBuilder CFD software for analysis of HVAC and other internal applications, covering use of assemblies and component blocks, supply and extract boundary conditions. The webinar will be presented by Dr Paul Carey and there will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end. To book your free place, go to:

4. A range of free learning resources is under development to help users to make the best use of the DesignBuilder EnergyPlus simulation software. You can access the materials provided so far at:

Here you will find, amongst other things:

- A series of video tutorials, the first batch covering use of the modeller, with many more tutorials on the way.

- A 220 page "Simulation and CFD Training Guide" which includes full details of the material covered in our 3 day simulation and CFD classroom training.

- Recording of the recent CFD webinar on linking EnergyPlus output with the DesignBuilder CFD calculations.
