No CO2 modeling is currently available in version 5.0.

It will be available in the upcoming EnergyPlus version 6.0

When you said "distribution within a room" I thought you were looking for being able to model CO2 concentrations at one end of a zone (e.g., by the window) and compare that to CO2 concentrations at the other side of the zone.  I was trying to clarify that the model will assume uniform concentrations in each zone.... but they can vary over time.

One clarification... the October 2010 release of EnergyPlus v6.0 will include the ability to model CO2 concentration in zones and modulate outdoor ventilation flow to maintain a specified zone concentration level (setpoint).

The model assumes the CO2 concentration is uniform within each zone ("well mixed" model).
