My name is Catalina and I am from chile.The most problems between studio open sketchup and I have had and specifically your problem was happening because the programs did not recognize either the Windows 7, so check the troubleshooter my computer and XP gave me a patch that works with sketchup and every time I run it as administrator and I do get an icon of a shield. That stopped my file to disappear. idf
Always remember to save your file and manually enter .Idf
