[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: How to generically model hourly residential electricity use



Electricity demand is fairly unpredictable on the single house level. Then again, unless you're off-grid or have time-of-use rates, exact timing might not be too critical. Having done a literature review in this area, I can say that one of the best sources is:

It's based on Canadian data, but I doubt it's that different from the US. Also, you could probably scale the profile if you have some aggregate US household data to compare to.
