Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Glazed Facade

Hi alkis

Instead of assigning glazed materials to a wall, you must define a window surface in the wall, and then assign the layers and glazed materials of the window to that surface. you can draw the window practically as large as the wall itself. To define a window surface, you can use FenestrationSurface:Detailed object, for example.

Hey all,

I am using E+ as part of my dissertation thesis were I have to assess the energy performance of an existing building. The main side of this building is fully glazed; it uses double glazed alouminium framed curtain wall.

Since I did not know how to present this I made a wall construction using Low E tint glass, air gap and Low E 6mm clear. However, when I run the simulation I get a severe error of having window materials in the wall.

Any ideas as to how to overcome this?

Thanx in advance
