It is possible that the Eindow 7 UAC does not let you have the right to modify and write on the EPlus directory. Check your user security settings.
Window7 tends to make all new installation as read-only.

Hi folks,
I'm new to E plus and have been trying to run the Exercise 1A with no weather data as discussed in the Tutorial. I immediately get the message that E plus has crashed. I have tried running other example files and the same thing happens. I dont think that there are any error files generated.
The version is 6.0.0023
My PC is
Win 7 Enterprise 64 bit
4 Gb Ram
Intel Xenon 2.67 GHz
