[EnergyPlus_Support] Post Processing

Hello Everybody,

I am looking for post processing tips or examples of how people process data once they are done. I wind up writing a lot of reports and when I was using eQuest I just used the image clipper and snapped an image of the data and compared that to baseline graphs that I did in excel. However, now that I am trying to use EnergyPlus I am kind of at a loss on what people see as the best/most useful way to look at data.

I guess what I envision being useful is zone heating (kBTu), zone cooling (kWh or kBTu), and zone electric (kWh or kBTu), then the total building heating/cooling/electric. Right now however I have just been using a combination of the OpenStudio for the geometry and the IDF Editor HVACTemplates for the system information. Then I have been putting stuff into comma-separated value (.CSV) format and using excel to manipulate the data. This is very clumsy and I feel like I am wasting hours upon hours of my time trying to do parametric runs and fixing things and I am looking for some advice on how to streamline this process.
