[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Heating/Cooling load

The HVACTemplate:Zone:IdealLoadsairSystem is exactly right for the job. I would run all three envelope senarios using this. It will give you an excellant comparison.

For step 2, the investigation of different HVAC types, incorporating radiant systems (especially radiant cooling ceiling and radiant floor heating) is a right pain. I'm sure by the time I've written a macro that adds this zone equipment and connects it flawlessly to the plant with automatic branch creation and insertion into said plant mixer splitter list and branch lists, not to mention creating the interzone surface and reverse surface with correct dimensions and constructions, by the time I've coded such a macro, e+ will have brought out a update with an easy template. I know a baseboard radiator template exists, but if you're a begginer stay away from embedded concrete or panel systems. Instead, just use the equipment gains with negative values and be wary of dew point temperature in the zone not falling below 16 deg C.

hope this helps more than confuses
