[EnergyPlus_Support] Unitary System Fan Mode - Cycling/Continous

As some of us know, the unitary systems have the unique ability to change the operating modes of the fan within the unit from continous to "cycling to meet the loads" which is a helpful alternative to using a nightmanager for example to cycle on during unoccupied hours to meet loads.

My question is, what is happening on the water side during off hours? Does the water circulation pumping also only cycle with the fan or load requirement or does it stay on cycling unused water energy around in a loop?
