[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Water/Water HX ~ WaterHeater:Mixed

The problem is ASHRAE Appx G requires me to model the same baseline mechanical system in the design case model that has no cooling and a radiant floor heating. The schedules must be the same for both. Now I must have a mechanical system that is continously on during occupied hours (at the same capacity) not just cycling to meet the load. This results in the radiant system becoming totally redundant during occupied hours.

My options are:
1) Turn the AHU heating coils off resulting in too many unmet load hours.
2) Defy ASHRAE and set the fan mode to cycling, which will cover any loads not met by the radiant floor heating during the heating season (when the radiant system is available) and continuous during occupied ours for the rest of the year.
3) Look on and do nothing but shake my head in a annoyed fashion.
4) Other?
