I have not run your IDF yet.
I am going to remove some of the designDay objects. Only two would be needed. I do not have the weather file either, although it is not needed for DesignDay sizing. You should change the schedule as Karen suggested first. I am currently doing some other things at work and will try that a little later. Is that why there is no cooling occurring in this IDF?
Is there anyway you could troubleshoot the IDF Dr. Li? --- In EnergyPlus_Support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, YuanLu Li <yli006@...> wrote: > > > You can set a wider dead band for the un-occupied period. Heating set point must be lower than the cooling set point, so that they do not overlap. The dead band may be as little as 0.1°F. Otherwice, you can set them to any temperature. If I wanted to turn off the cooling completely, I simply set the cooling set point to 98°F for that zone. If you have water system, you may still need the seasonal control for the plants., so that the water system will be freeze. > > Dr. Li > To: EnergyPlus_Support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > From: matthew.sverre.anderson@... > Date: Mon, 14 Nov 2011 18:39:01 +0000 > Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Re: IDF Review for no Cooling > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > So do something like set a cooling set point to 74, Heating to 70 for a mean set point of 72 with a 2 degree deadband? > > > > --- In EnergyPlus_Support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, "Jean marais" <jeannieboef@> wrote: > > > > > > HEATING COOLING SETPOINTS is the schedule name for both your heating setpoint and your cooling setpoint.
