I can't help you so much,only with your last question about the output
variables.
If you want to have all the "objects" for an output variable write an
* in the key field(where you wrote the name of the surface)and you
will generate all the values for all the surface which have this
property in Energy+.
Ex:
Output:Variable,
*,
Opaque Surface Inside Face Beam Solar Absorbed,
monthly;
