An alternative may be to "turn off the temperature difference". You could modify the weather file so that the outdoor air properties are = to your setpoint temperature. this way, all of the heat transferred by the windows is due to solar gain and not convective flow due to temperature difference across the exterior surfaces. 

Just an idea.
