Dear Dru, I anticipate that we’ll want to run several discrete portions of the large model at the same time while in the debugging phase. Since the project is attempting LEED certification, I may also want to run the four Baseline rotations simultaneously. This seems to be a good application of the cloud. I agree with Dr. Li that it may not be faster than, say, my 2nd generation i5 PC with solid state hard drive, but it represents several PCs that I can run simultaneously and at lower cost than if I have to purchase them. Do you know where I should go for tips on how to install E+ on a “cloud”? Multiple instances of E+ on a cloud? Looks promising as a way to speed up lots of simulations.
