The information comes from the OutputDetailsAndExamples.pdf file from the E+ documentation.

When EnergyPlus is running, it is usually running from a â??commandâ?? window (unless inside another interface program) and some items may appear in the command window. These messages are preserved in the â??logâ?? output file."
I assumed than it was possible to access these data after the simulation finished (the command windows close automatically)
