yes,i have seen them but i cant understand the difference in order to choose one of them!

medium for example is somewhere in the middle??

The ASHRAE dataset that is supplied with EnergyPlus has some typical materials -- labeled "light", "medium" and "heavy" -- among others. That might be a place to start.
