Hi, Kelvin
In 2007, I have seen several user successfully converting eQuest files to EPlus IDF in version 2. If you can still do that I wonder what is the problem. The conversion from version 2 and up would have all the intermediate files. It may be able to spot the problem by code inspection. Version 7 may have added options and defaults that you do not have in the earlier version, and these may be removed and corrected. I am interested to see whether the conversion to version 2 or 3 version is complete by code inspection, if you would send me a sample converted file to an earlier version. The IDD for the old versions are still on the current release. I am not sure whether eQuest file and eQuest DOE-2 file are the same. I have not use either of them. All I know at that time was that the IDF was converted from eQuest and submitted by the user. Most of the errors wer resolved. Dear group,
I am converting a large eQuest DOE2 project to EnergyPlus file. I downloaded the conversion tool provided by EnergyPlus (from http://energyplus.helpserve.com). And it seems that the transition tool is made in very old EnergyPlus version and can only do parts of the job (primarily geometry and materials). I wonder if anyone knows the most recent and comprehensive DOE2 to EnergyPlus conversion tools (either public or private domain) Thanks -- Best Regards Wei __._,_.___ Primary EnergyPlus support is found at: http://energyplus.helpserve.com or send a message to energyplus-support@xxxxxxxx The primary EnergyPlus web site is found at: http://www.energyplus.gov The group web site is: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/EnergyPlus_Support/ Attachments are currently allowed but be mindful that not everyone has a high speed connection.
