Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Simulating group of input files in Linux

There used to be a way that Linux could take a list of files and produce the results (similar to the way we do our regression tests for Windows).

I don't know if that's still part of the distribution or not.

Hi Farhang,

I also once had to run .epg from Linux. But at the last I remember I didn't did that. However, below is the conversation I had with support on the same topic.

epg files are specific to EP-Launch which is windows-only. But with some modifications, it should be possible to use this file on Linux. I do not have the Linux docs, but I assume the runenergyplus command takes some arguments, like runenergyplus <input> <output> <weather>. So, you should be able to edit the epg file to make each line a complete runenergyplus command and then execute the group file directly. I would test that with a short list first.

Hi

I want to run E+ group file (.epg) in Linux. runenergyplus is the command to run E+ (.idf) file. Which command will run .epg file in Linux?

Thanks

Hi,

Is it possible to simulate a group of input files in Linux, somehow similar to group file simulation in EP-Launch?

Thanks in advance.
