Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] schedule:file

Answered on the helpdesk.

Note, the IOReference in V7.1 says:

Field: File Name
This field contains the name of the file that contains the data for the schedule. The field
should include a full path with file name, for best results. The field must be <= 100 characters.
The file name must not include commas or an exclamation point. A relative path or a simple
file name should work with version 7.0 or later when using EP-Launch even though EPLaunch
uses temporary directories as part of the execution of EnergyPlus. If using
RunEPlus.bat to run EnergyPlus from the command line, a relative path or a simple file name
may work if RunEPlus.bat is run from the folder that contains EnergyPlus.exe.

hi,

the file is exactly the same. I try with another name (without ".csv") but I have the same error.
In the inputoutputreference there is written:
A relative path or a simple file name will not work with version 6.0 or later when using EP-Launch due to the use of temporary directories as part of the execution of EnergyPlus.

I use EP-Launch to run EnergyPlus. Is there another way to run EnergyPlus?

thank you

Have you confirmed that the actual file name is exactly the same as you have shown in the Schedule:File object?  I am thinking particularly of the extension ?.csv?.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] schedule:file

I want to use a schedule:file, but E+ not found the file.

 ** Severe  ** ProcessScheduleInput: Schedule:File="COEFF", File Name="C:\Users\federica\Desktop\file idf\coefficienti.csv" not found.

**   ~~~   ** Certain run environments require a full path to be included with the file name in the input field.

**   ~~~   ** Try again with putting full path and file name in the field.

In the file name I written a full path: C:\Users\federica\Desktop\file idf\coefficienti.csv

I don't know why E+ not found the file

thanks
