All you need would be the file name, when the file is in the root directory or the user directory, as these are in the path= environment of the DOS.
The file path when included in full should work also..
However, the file name should include the extension .csv. It is not there below.
The followings are some more information on DOS convention.
DOS has a limit of filename length of 8 characters. Coefficienti.csv may look like coeffi~1.csv on the DOS screen, if it is displayed.
"File idf" is not translated by Windows. "File i~1" still have a forbidden character. "File_idf" is the usual entry to provide a space using an underscore character.
Is the file in the root folder? If you cannot copy to it, you do not have the full excess to the directory.
The IDF will not copy the file for you. The reason why I asked you to use the root directory was to shortern the path length.Dr. Li

I try to copy the schedule file to the E+ folderSchedule:File, coeff, !- NameAny Number, !- Schedule Type Limits NameC:\EnergyPlusV7-1-0\coefficienti, !- File Name1, !- Column Number0, !- Rows to Skip at Top8760, !- Number of Hours of Data; !- Column SeparatorE+ not found the file.2012/8/19 YuanLu Li <yli006@xxxxxxxxxxx>
Try removing the blank space in the name of the folder " \file idf\ ". or use a shorter path length, or copying the shchule file to the EPlus root directory. The comma of the field is not missing. i.e., " ... .csv, " .

hi,the file is exactly the same. I try with another name (without ".csv") but I have the same error. In the inputoutputreference there is written:A relative path or a simple file name will not work with version 6.0 or later when using EP-Launch due to the use of temporary directories as part of the execution of EnergyPlus.I use EP-Launch to run EnergyPlus. Is there another way to run EnergyPlus?thank you2012/8/18 Jim Dirkes <jim@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
Have you confirmed that the actual file name is exactly the same as you have shown in the Schedule:File object? I am thinking particularly of the extension ?.csv?.
