Try just launching SketchUp and then loading your IDF file, without opening your SKP file. All of the energy model data is in the IDF file.

If you do need the SketchUp file make sure you first launch SketchUp and then open the SKP file. Double clicking the file icon, can cause probelems in some configurations. Another good practice if you file appears not to be opening correctly, is to open the ruby console (under window menu) before you open the IDF file; this will display ruby errors.
