RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Dehumidification in air-conditioner

If you are not following the ASHRAE guide line, there is usually no problem with over cooling.  There is no real need to cool the duct air to below 18°C.

With real systems, a dehumidifier place in a room, blows the air through the condenser coil after the air is cooled and water condensed out.  There is net gain in heat load, as the compressor and fan power are added to the room.

In an AHU situation, the additional heat is in the machine room.  There are many ways to channel the condenser heat back into the air duct.  In EPlus, this would be a Heat Exchanger between the condenser and the supply air duct.

What is your VRF?    If it is variable refrigerant feed, you can simply add a condenser coil after the cooling coil, so that part of the condenser heat would be returned to the zone supply air.

VRF may also mean variable rate fan.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Dehumidification in air-conditioner

I have a question about dehumidification in air-conditioner.
I have constructed the air conidtioning system with VRF heatpump and AirLoopHVAC Heat Pump model.
Generally, as the air is cooler, indoor humidity is decresed in cooling mode.
But, dehumidification rate is so slow compared to the drop rate in temperatrue.
How can i solve this problem?
Please give me a tip.
Thank you.
