If i had been in your position, i would have solved this by following way:
1. As i know the Building consumption, i would have deeply analysed the possibility of making the demand side more efficient. ASHARE level II analysis. As each watt of PV is gona cost you some dollar. It's better to lower the demand/consumption.
2. I'd have used some quick and reliable PV simulation software like RETscreen (free), System Advisor Model (free) and PVsyst to design the BIPV.
3. Used simple excel based application to just see the optimum Production Vs Consumption of Energy.
As Mr. James has chime in, whose post across the forum is always helpful for me and new user to better understand the problem. You should go deeper and explore his advice.

Hello all,
I?m a new user of this program and I would be grateful if someone can
assist me with the problem I encountered?
I want to use E+ package to do some modification on a typical house ((where
I already know the annual amount of electricity it consumes)) by adding a Building Integrated Photovoltaic -BIPV- system and measuring how much it could
produce energy. Then compare the consumption vs. production of electricity.
The problem is that I didn?t find a way to directly input the value of annual
electricity consumption without going through designing all of the electric
systems( e.g. HAVC, Lighting?etc)?! is
there any way this could be applied?
Please can you advise me ?.
Thank you,
