Thanks a lot Joe! I'll go through the paper today. However, I must say that I chose the NOcarpetrug as (for once in defence of standard 90.1) the standard usually does a pretty good job of defining how the constructions are build up and the NoCarpetRug values in the table in the paper I have from you before only match the standard's F-factors in the NoCarpetRug catagory.
For example, "Roofs, Insulation entirely above deck" contruction is well layed out in appendix A and does not include for vapour bariers or buildup roofing or asphalt. I checked all constructions used for Appendix G simulations and calculated the respective U-values by hand as per the standard to check that I come to the values listed in table 5. Rounding of the tabulated values (espectially in the SI addition) gave me a major headache, but I reach the U-values in Tables 5 only when following the constructions exactly. That is why I thought that as no carpet is mentioned...then again no film values are mentioned, and they usually are.
I will then bring in a carpetRug at R-0.22 m2K/W as per the standard. Thanks for the heads up and again thanks for the scanning work.
Kind regards,
Jean
