My general preference for window modeling is to make all the windows as separate objects for my surfaces. Recently I have had to work with models generated for me by others using Design Builder where multiple windows on a surface are drawn
in one location and then multiplied for the .idf. My question is if I have a shading object that progressively shades the surface during the day, does EnergyPlus account for the distribution of multiple windows or do all windows go into the shade when specified
location is shaded. Ned Lyon, P.E.
